Filled with heartache, “Any Ol’ Barstool” is a song about life after a breakup. More than a decade after their first collaboration (2007’s “Grown Woman”), Aldean joined forces with Miranda Lambert once again on “Drowns the Whiskey.” Throughout the song, the narrator sings about turning to whiskey to help drown the memories of his ex-lover but admits the memories of her drown the whiskey. Their voices blended seamlessly, making this an unforgettable collaboration. The song shot to the top of Billboard’s Country Airplay chart and earned a nomination for Musical Event of the Year at the 2018 CMA Awards.
