Eminem called Christina Aguilera ‘little b**ch’ and wrote brutal lyric about her after she took the p*ss out of his marriage
Eminem revealed why he dissed Christina Aguilera, pointing out that she started their feud after making comments about his marriage on TV.
Explaining how it all started, Eminem said he was initially flattered when Aguilera choose one of his songs on her MTV special, What a Girl Wants, but he soon became annoyed.
After choosing his song ‘My Name Is’ on the special, Aguilera said: “I heard he’s married now… the girl that he talks about 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁ing on his record, actually.”
The singer then went on to speak out against domestic abuse, urging her fans to never let a man disrespect them – but her comments didn’t go down well with the rapper.
Recalling the incident, Eminem said: “She picked one of my videos. I was like, ‘that’s cool she picked my video’.”
He went on: “And then she said, ‘yeah, doesn’t he have a song about 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁ing his 𝚋𝚊𝚋𝚢’s mother? And I always tell my friends, if you’re against domestic violence, you know, I’m so against domestic violence and if you’re in an abusive relationship…’
“And I was, like, why did she just pick my video if she’s picking it apart? I would rather have had her just say nothing about me.
“She heard a rumour, she didn’t know if i was married or not – she just heard a rumour and then put me on blast.
“But I figured, well, f**k it, since she did that – you said something about me, I’m going to voice some rumours that I heard about you.”
Eminem directly addressed the comments on his song ‘The Real Slim Shady’, which includes the lyrics: “Little b***h put me on blast on MTV” / “Yeah he’s cute but I think he’s married to Kim.”
And he didn’t stop there – two years later, he released the track ‘Off the Wall’ with Redman in which he called out Aguilera, rapping: “Causing terror to Christina Aguilera” / “When I grab her by the hair and drag her across the Sahara.”
In 2019, Aguilera addressed the feud saying it wasn’t ‘nice’ of the rapper to go after her.
Appearing on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, she said: “That’s really in the past and, you know, it was thirsty then, it’s thirsty now. ”
It’s not nice to go after anybody, especially a female in this business, and now, what we’re looking at and seeing come to the forefront, it’s just, get a new gig. Have something else to talk about.”
