Serena Williams Gets Roped into the Boho Cowgirl Trend Inspired by Beyoncé’s Country Era: ‘Get in Formation’
The tennis champ dusted off her hat and boots to channel Beyoncé, who is releasing a new country album on March 29
Beyoncé is opening up a whole new rodeo for cowgirl glam and Serena Williams is fully onboard.
Since the 2024 Grammys on Feb. 4, the “Cuff It” singer, 42, has been rocking Western-inspired looks as she prepares to drop her new country album, Act II, on March 29 — and Williams is taking notes from the style icon.
On Sunday, the retired tennis champion, 42, shared a photo of herself in a boho country look inspired by Bey.
Williams poses in belted pleated ecru dress (with the majority of the buttons left undone to create a 𝓈ℯ𝓍y thigh-high slit) over a black bodysuit and calf-length riding boots. She accessorized the outfit with a black fedora and floral-patterned handbag.
“I mean when she drops a country album you get in formation #beyonce,” the mom of two and athlete captioned the post, which also included a selfie with Sylvester Stallone at an event they both attended.
As of late, Beyoncé has provided her fans with plenty of inspiration on how to make cowboy hats high-fashion.
At the Grammys, the superstar wore a white $440 Stetson cowboy hat over her blonde hair, as well as a Louis Vuitton skirt suit and a white shirt tied with a black ribbon tie. She also wore Cartier jewelry, including six (yes, six!) rings from the brand.
And, after she finally dropped two songs — “Texas Hold ‘Em and “16 Carriages” — off her new record during the Super Bowl on Feb. 11, the 32-time Grammy winner continued to say yes to the yee-haw aesthetic with another dramatic cowboy hat worn to Luar’s New York Fashion Week show.
Beyoncé sat front row (a rare occasion) alongside her mom Tina Knowles as the two supported model Daniel Julez Smith, who goes by Julez and is the son of Solange Knowles, Beyonce’s sister.
