Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively recently became a family-of-six with the birth of their fourth child earlier this year.

And the Free Guy actor has since revealed how his oldest daughters – James, eight, Inez, six and Betty, three – are adjusting to the family’s new arrival.

While Reynolds is used to trolling his wife, and vice versa, this time around he decided to hilariously mock the couple’s daughters.

Speaking to ET Canada, he quipped: “I haven’t met any of them yet, but they seem great. They have a private Instagram account that I follow.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Reynolds opened up about how he and Lively are adjusting to growing family life themselves. He shared that while going from two to three kids was a “huge jump” for them, becoming parents of four was “less so”.

Referring to the Gossip Girl alum, he continued: “I cannot speak for my wife, but it’s just from what I’ve observed. We love it. We would be idiots to do this again if we didn’t love it.”

The 46-year-old highlighted that he and Lively, 36, had always wanted a big family, having both grown up with siblings themselves. “I come from four. Blake comes from five,” Reynolds explained. “Both of us are the youngest.”

The 𝓈ℯ𝓍 and name of the couple’s fourth child hasn’t yet been revealed, but last November, Reynolds told Today he hoped they would have another girl.

“I know girls,” he said. “So I’m kind of hoping for that.”

Reynolds and Lively are notoriously private about their family life, and in 2016 the latter told Marie Claire: “Family, that’s the thing that I feel most protective of and the thing that I feel is the most exposed when I feel exploited.”

Referring to paparazzi, she said: “I’d rather not have to deal with it at all, but we knew the lifestyle we were getting into, and while it’s hard… it’s another thing when it’s our child. She [James, the couple’s only child when the interview was conducted] didn’t have the opportunity to make a decision about what she wants.

“We want our kids to have the same normal life that we had. We don’t ever want to rob them of what we had, because we’d feel really selfish.”

Echoing Reynolds’ recent sentiment, back in 2012 Lively spoke to Allure about future motherhood, saying: “I’ve always wanted a big family. Oh, I’d love 30 [children] if I could.”
