Surprising fresh pictures of the sprawling property showed how old and disintegrating Kanye West’s $2.2 million Calabasas ranch looked, almost four years after the musician boarded it up in September 2020. The 46-year-old Heartless hitmaker first bought the house in 2018 and utilized it as the headquarters for both his Donda Academy and Sunday Service. Recently, the senior Yeezy executive resigned due to the brand’s entry into the adult entertainment market. For $4 million, the celebrity had also acquired 300 more acres that surrounded the property.

However, the most recent photographs show that the house is still empty and in disarray, with one photo showing a massive, gaping hole at the front entry, with rubble and roof fragments spread on the ground. Roof shingles are missing and coming off, while green plants and trees appear overgrown around the front of the main house. Parts of the concrete driveway have been chipped away, and one side of the property is partially obscured by a crimson covering.

A circular spot outside the house was surrounded by deteriorating fence and appeared to be the site of one of Ye’s domes. The Yeezy Home dome shelters were built in a bid to address homelessness in the Los Angeles area. The land around the main home on the property is unmaintained, with dry patches of grass and piles of dirt or sand.

Kanye bought the property while still married to his now-ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, and their divorce was legally formalized in November 2022. Last year, in February 2023, images revealed that the property had already degraded significantly, with both the main residence and guest house covered with partitions and fencing. The walls around the guest house were also demolished, leaving just a wire fence and debris strewn about. Parts of the walls surrounding the main structure had also collapsed, creating gaps in the fencing as the white cloth covering it began to unravel.

A 4×4 tank was also been seen on the property near the broken partition, as well as a barbecue smoker. School props, such as drums and trikes, have also been left behind from the Donda Academy days. West reportedly lived on the property with his then-model girlfriend Irina Shayk as he turned the property into a bachelor pad while Kim Kardashian remained in their $60million Calabasas mansion with their four children.

There are reportedly two guest houses on the property with six bedroom and seven bathrooms altogether. The pad is said to be located eight miles away from the home he shared with Kim in the gated community of Hidden Hills. The domes on the property – which are now nonexistent – had been 50-foot ‘Yecosystems.’ West constructed the domes through the architecture branch of his Yeezy label, dubbed Yeezy Home, which he launched in 2018. ‘We’re looking for architects and industrial designers who want to make the world better,’ he said at the time.

In an interview with Forbes a year later, the rapper showed off the early versions of the domes, which he had conceived with a team of designers after being inspired by the fictitious planet of Tatooine from Star Wars. He planned to build droves of the prefabricated structures as housing for the homeless, and even voiced ideas to sink them into the ground with light filtering through their roofs. The rapper believed that he could build entire cities with the pods, and felt his ‘inspired’ plans would allow them to spring up across America. While Kanye’s plans for the Calabasas ranch is currently unknown, the star has jumped into another bizarre business venture: Yeezy [Adult Entertainment].

The announcement was made last month in April and reportedly will collaborate with Stormy Daniels’ ex-husband, Mike Moz. Ye’s latest move sparked backlash among spiritual fans, and Ye soon deleted his social media. Moz talked to TMZ in late April over the venture, and explained to the outlet, ‘I’ve been having discussions with Ye about a potential collab between Yeezy brand and my team at Vixen Media Group.’

‘While it’s too early to provide any details, I’m curious to see where Ye’s vision takes this,’ he added. ‘The idea that this enterprise will be another [adult entertainment] studio is incorrect. It will be unlike anything we have ever seen before. Milo Yiannopoulos, West’s top Yeezy executive, resigned over the brand’s expansion into adult entertainment, citing’moral concerns.’
