Oprah Winfrey gives glimpse inside $50M mansion as she makes purple mocktails after weight loss
Oprah Winfrey gave fans a look inside her $50 million Montecito home, showing off her slim figure in a new video.
The maker of “Color Purple” — stepped up its marketing push into the kitchen on Sunday by preparing a purple mocktail.
Although the clip only offers a glimpse, fans can see large white cabinets, straw baskets on the couch, and blue-and-white fine china in the background of her video.
She has lived in her California home since 2001.
“We came up with the ‘Purple’ drink for the holiday,” Winfrey, 69, said in the clip, which showed her wearing a chic white sweater and matching pants, while a staff member mixed prepare drinks.
The recipe includes apple juice, ginger, beet juice, lime juice, green Curaçao, simple syrup and sparkling water, plus a blackberry garnish.
Oprah Winfrey sipped on a mocktail while promoting “The Color Purple.”
Winfrey gave fans a glimpse at the kitchen in her sprawling mansion.
The TV icon noted that fans could add “vodka, gin or tequila” for an extra kick.
The video comes a few days after she offered some insight into her dramatic physical transformation at the Los Angeles premiere of “The Color Purple,” while — fittingly — rocking a bright purple gown.
During a red carpet chat with “Entertainment Tonight,” host Kevin Frazier told the “Oprah Winfrey Show” alum that she was looking “divine in purple.”
The TV icon stunned in a white sweater and matching trousers.
She purchased her Montecito home in 2001.
“What’s going on? Because if this is WeightWatchers, please, sign me up tonight,” he asked.
“Well it’s not one thing, it’s everything … and I intend to keep it that way,” she replied, noting that she “was on that treadmill” just hours before arriving at the star-studded premiere.
The billionaire media executive previously revealed she contemplated taking a weight loss medication like Ozempic to slim down, but ultimately opted against it.
The former talk show host has been flaunting her physique in a slew of purple ensembles.
“When I first started hearing about the weight loss drugs, at the same time, I was going through knee surgery, and I felt, ‘I’ve got to do this on my own,’” she explained on an episode of “Oprah Daily’s The Life You Want: The State of Weight.”
“Because if I take the drug, that’s the easy way out.”
Winfrey, who told listeners that she’s been on a weight loss “journey for most of [her] life,” became a WeightWatchers ambassador when she bought 10 percent of the company in 2015.
“WeightWatchers is easier than any other program I’ve ever been on. It’s a lifestyle, a way of eating, and a way of living that’s so freeing. You never feel like you are on a diet, and it works,” she said in a press release at the time.
“I can honestly tell you I struggle no more. I’m eating everything I love — tacos, pasta. I’ve never felt deprived.”
She has also been candid about her “healthful but far from dull” diet on her website, Oprah.com, and noted she does 45 minutes of aerobic exercise six days a week.
