Prince Harry leaving the British Royal Family might have forever altered ties within the family but Prince William and Kate Middleton have done their best to stay united amid the changing tides in their extended family. In fact, according to one royal biographer, it has made them even closer.
According to OK, biographer Ingrid Seward says William has turned to his wife for additional support after falling out with his younger brother. “William is sensitive, he likes structure and has perseverance,” Seward said of the future king’s struggle to handle the jabs his brother through his way in his 2023 memoir Spare. “He does not give up easily.”
“His relationship with brother Harry upset him more than he would care to admit. But he found it easier to cut ties rather than allow himself to be continually annoyed,” Seward continued. “His life with Kate gives him the security, love and friendship he needs.”

Instead of letting the Royal feud come between them, William and Kate reportedly worked hard to put on a united front and, now, the couple are stronger than ever — especially amid Kate’s cancer battle. As SheKnows reported on July 2, an insider claims William and Kate’s ability to step up for each other in times of need has only “strengthened their bond.”
“William and Kate seem like a different couple! They used to be more reserved,” the insider shared with Us Weekly. “But now, they can’t help but look at each other and smile.”
According to royal correspondent Charles Rae, the couple’s renewed bond and their focus on getting their young family through Kate’s cancer battle has put the feud with Harry to the back of their minds.
“There’s too much gone under the bridge now,” Rae says of Harry and Meghan’s comments about the royals over the years. “If they’re going to make the move, I am not so sure William and Catherine would respond favorably.”
“William’s got a lot more on his mind right now than repairing the troubles with his own brother,” Rae noted. “He’s got his wife to look after and his three children.”
