Kendrick Lamar fans made fun of Drake for appearing “stressed” after “Not Like Us” video is released.
Drake has found himself on the receiving end of yet more ridicule from Kendrick Lamar fans after popping out at Michael Rubin’s annual Fourth of July White Party in the Hamptons.
The 6 God was one of several A-listers who attended the swanky bash on Thursday (July 4), where he partied alongside stars such as Lil Wayne, Tom Brady, Travis Scott, Megan Thee Stallion, Kim Kardashian and Jake Paul.
Footage from the party shows Drizzy chatting with GloRilla and even jumping on the mic to perform hits like “Sticky” and “Wants and Needs” with Lil Baby.
But there’s one photo in particular that has captured attention, and it shows the 37-year-old rapper looking every bit his age while hanging out with Rubin — according to fans, at least.
The photo, shared on Instagram by the billionaire host, led to a flood of jokes about Drake’s appearance, many of which referenced his recent feud with Kendrick Lamar.
“Drake aged like 20 years since the beef,” one person joked, while another said: “Drake look like he been through the ringer.”
Someone else asked: “Is it me or buddy looking stressed out [crying face emoji].”
While Drake was busy partying in the Hamptons, Kendrick Lamar was putting the bow on his victory over The Boy in their high-profile beef.
The Compton rapper released the eagerly anticipated video for his chart-topping diss song “Not Like Us” on Thursday evening, and it features several easter eggs aimed at his fierce rival.
Drake’s OVO logo serves as ample ammo for K. Dot as he’s seen busting an owl-shaped piñata wide open with a broom handle and staring menacingly at an owl locked in a cage.
Another scene shows him dancing to the Mustard-produced banger with his fiancée Whitney Alford and two children, who were dragged into the feud by Drake.
In an even subtler dig at Drizzy, the video is co-directed by and includes a cameo from Kendrick’s longtime manager Dave Free, who was accused of possibly fathering of one of his pgLang partner’s kids.
The video also opens with a snippet of an unreleased song which hears Kendrick rap: “Woke up looking for the broccoli/ High-key, keep a horn on me, that Kamasi/ IP, ownership the blueprint is by me/ Mr. Get Off, I get off in my feet.”
