Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky suffered an 84-71 defeat to the Seattle Storm on Sunday.

The loss was a frustrating one for Chicago; especially considering that they were within three points of the Storm with a few minutes left to play before the Storm pulled away.

Yet, it was not all a defeat for the Sky, as Reese secured her 13th consecutive double-double in the third quarter.

This made WNBA history for the most consecutive double-doubles.

Reese broke WNBA legend Candace Parker’s record. And when Reese was asked what it meant to cement her name with such an icon, the “Chi Barbie” gave a clear answer.

“She’s the GOAT,” Reese said.

“I mean, I’ve had conversations with her,” the Sky rookie added, per Chicago State of Mind Sports’ YouTube channel. “Her family, her mom. I’ve talked to them before, and… I’ve always respected CP3.

“And I try to take some things from her game and try to add them to mine. And just being able to be named with an amazing player like that is always gonna be special to me,” she said.

Props to the rookie sensation for showing due respect to a legend like Parker.
