Eight Times of Vanderpump Rules The Internet Humbled and Ranked Tom Sandoval
Tom Sandoval of Vanderpump Rules became the internet’s most hated man when he cheated on his longtime girlfriend with one of her best friends. The affair, which became known as “Scandoval,” a compound word made of scandal and Sandoval, was revealed at the end of Vanderpump Rules season 10. The affair surprised Tom’s girlfriend, Ariana Madix, who was close friends with the other woman, Rachel “Raquel” Leviss, and had trusted them both.
Vanderpump Rules season 11 is currently airing on Bravo, and the season revolves heavily around the cast dealing with the fallout from Tom and Rachel’s affair. Fans of Vanderpump Rules have wasted no time taking sides, with most situating themselves firmly on Team Ariana. The comment sections of Tom’s Instagram posts have become a dumpster fire of mean comments from some of his ex’s most fervent supporters.
8 Tom Slings Hydroxycut
In August 2023, Tom posted an image of himself to Instagram reclining on the hood of a car alongside boxes and bottles of the diet supplement Hydroxycut, a product the newly single Tom has partnered with since early 2023. Instagram users took to the comment section with vengeance. User @leonard_skynyrd10 wrote, “The level of second hand embarrassment is strong,” while @kaela-kowalsky simply asked, “Since when do you tell the truth?” Even the diet supplement came under fire, with @crystalrenee1 writing, “Not Hydroxycut.” It’s unclear whether Hydroxycut’s partnership with Tom continues.
7 Special Forces
Playing Games
In July 2023, Tom posted a photo to Instagram of himself dressed in survivalist military and tactical gear while working on the reality TV show Special Forces season 2. Though the image was posted before the scandal broke, fans went back to older posts to register their displeasure with Tom, leading him to lock his comments for a short time, before unlocking them again. Instagram account @chelsthemermaid wrote, “the fact that this won’t even be your most embarrassing endeavor is shocking,” while @samanthastevens138 wondered, “Could you be anymore despicable?”
Always Putting On A Show
Tom’s musical s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁s were not immune from the attacks. In May 2023, Tom posted an Instagram photo of a crowded live show with his band, Tom Sandoval And The Most Extras. Instagram account @kimmi_kelly commented, “Tom – quick question….have you ever heard yourself sing? Cuz if you did…” Another user, @keirafleuryy, even went after Tom for his age by writing, “This guy is 40 tryna be 23 lmaoo.” In one of the more bizarre comments, one user even implied that Tom had 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁ed a former bandmate.
” Kristen got the last laugh ”
5 At The Washington Monument
Visiting Our Nation’s Capital
As if our national politics weren’t broken enough, Tom posted an image to Instagram of himself beside the Washington Monument. Among the Instagram users who swarmed the comment section, @bforbonc wrote, “Kristen got the last laugh,” referring to Tom cheating on former Vanderpump Rules alum Kristen Doute with Ariana. Wanting Tom fully canceled, @rachel_daisy91 wrote, “So sad I can’t watch VPR anymore. Just wish they took @tomsandoval1 off the show for the new season.” Sticking with the political theme, @stayoverther wondered, “Democrats….. why do they always look like this?”
4 Interview With An Emotional Vampire
Crying Over A Broken Penis Flute
In February 2024, Tom posted a clip from his podcast ironically titled Everybody Loves Tom in which he is being interviewed about the phallically-shaped flute that was displayed in the home he shared with Ariana. During Vanderpump Rules season 10, after his affair was revealed, one of Ariana’s friends broke the flute. Instagram user @nicole.ashley.p asked, “Could you be any more delusional?” “The delulu is real,” wrote @biancawalberg, while @shannonmassa succinctly commented, “You’re ridiculous.”
3 Tom & Tom Get Dragged
Both Toms Are Catching Heat
Sandoval’s best friend and business partner Tom Schwartz got dragged in the comments sections as well. In January 2024, Tom posted another clip from his podcast, Everybody Loves Tom, which included himself and Schwartz. Many of the people in the comments kept them brief, with @sukibird, writing “Barf,” while @blowmymindheyvicky simply wrote, “BOOOOOOO.” Not wanting to leave Schwartz out of the fun, @emilybashamhoelscher referred to the two as “Pitiful and pitifuller.”
” Who’s your stylist? You need to fire them immediately ,”
2 The Tom’s At Caesars Palace
More Of Tom Tom
In January 2023, Tom posted an Instagram photo of himself and Schwartz in a Las Vegas casino, posing under a statue of Julius Caesar. Instagram users took to the comment section to attack both Toms. @andykyn_ asked, “Who’s your stylist? You need to fire them immediately,” while @sarah.w.xoxo wrote “Greasy” and “Used car salesman vibes.”
“I know my opinion doesn’t mean much bc I’m a total stranger but you don’t deserve the abuse and the ganging up on that you’ve endured.”
1 The Passing Of Tom’s Best Childhood Friend, Ali
A Tragic Passing
In February 2024, Tom posted an Instagram carousel of his friend Ali Rafiq, who tragically passed away at 41. Instagram user @asie_nne accused Tom of “Doing it for sympathy,” as did @juicyslimmer, who wrote, “Way to deflect from your train wreck article,” referring to the New York Times article titled, How Tom Sandoval Became The Most Hated Man In America. Surprisingly, this comment section featured someone coming to Tom’s defense, as @christine.evelyn_banks wrote, “I know my opinion doesn’t mean much bc I’m a total stranger but you don’t deserve the abuse and the ganging up on that you’ve endured.”
Vanderpump Rules airs on Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo.
